Michael Portillo - Life: A Game Of Two Halves
Saturday October 23, 19:00. £18.50

Since his political career came to an end in 1997, Michael has reinvented and endeared himself to many with his obvious respect for the solid workmanship found in the great railways of the world and their effect on countries’ histories and the daily lives of their people. Listen to his story, told with a “parliamentary standup” wit, and then ask him about it.

Jeremy Vine
Friday March 25, 19:30. £19.00, £18.50 Concession, £17.50 Members

Jeremy Vine is one of the UK's most successful broadcasters. In more than thirty years at the BBC, he's presented Newsnight, Panorama, Crimewatch, Eggheads and Points of View — as well as his daily Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2, the UK's most listened-to radio news programme. Plus his daily Channel 5 show. He's been shot at in Croatia and had chewing gum placed on his chair in Zimbabwe (by one of Robert Mugabe's supporters). But increasingly he finds himself asking "What the hell is going on?" as information and misinformation get mixed together and the sheer volume of news that gets thrown at us all is mind blowing. Get ready to laugh and cry as Jeremy tries to make sense of a world that increasingly makes no sense at all — where, as he puts it, "my listeners have better stories than I do."

Geoffrey Boycott
Wednesday May 25, 19:30. £27.50

An Evening With Geoffrey Boycott last appeared on stage in 2017. A great deal has happened since then - in the cricket world, the world at large and in the world of our Geoffrey. He has had major heart surgery, become a grandfather for the first time and finally been honoured with a long-overdue knighthood. Geoffrey’s many fans have expressed their deep disappointment at his disappearance from our airwaves. So, in a packed autumn where England are competing for the T20 World Cup and battling with the old enemy to wrest back control of The Ashes, they will be delighted for this chance to hear what Geoffrey thinks about - well, everything! Forthright honest views, hilarious anecdotes, personal film footage from an incredible career and a chance for the audience to ask Sir Geoffrey their own questions. It’s a brilliant new evening with our brand new knight.
As ever, this cricket event is being run in aid of the Professional Cricketers’ Association and we raise money from the evening for the Professional Cricketers’ Trust.
